Fall Foliage in Central Park

Central Park is undoubtedly beautiful all year around-whether snow covered, newly in bloom, or in the sweltering heat. However, autumn is a truly special time in Central Park, when the tinge of cold in the wind turns the treetops an incredible mixture of yellow, red, and orange.

Wondering where exactly these places are? This map lays out the whole park.

Oct. 9th-LENNONYC Central Park Summerstage Premier!

On October 9th, 2010, what would be John Lennon's 70th birthday, a new documentary about the singer will premier at the Central Park Summerstage. The film focuses on a time when the singer was a New York City fixture, living on the Upper West Side and spending a significant amount of time in Central Park. The documentary is presented by PBS with Yoko Ono's blessing.

Central Park

Central Park has been quoted as "the greatest park in the world, in the middle of the greatest city in the world." Located in the center of the island of Manhattan, the park is made up of over 250 acres worth of fields, gardens, fountains, sculpture, ball fields, playgrounds, bridges, and the list goes on. With so much to offer, one can't argue that Central Park is essential to New York City. I'll be posting upcoming activities taking place in the park, as well as background information and photos/art of or inspired by "the greatest park in the world."

The Official Website of Central Park is located here.
